Are you experiencing a clicking sound everytime an advertisement loads? This is caused by Windows having an audio sound set for navigation events inside of your web browser. Follow the steps below to disable this clicking sound.
Windows XP
- Click Start, located on the taskbar. Select Control Panel.
- Find the Sounds and Audio Devices control panel, and double click it to open it.
- Click the Sounds tab at the top of the window.
- Scroll down to the Windows Explorer group, and locate, and highlight, the Start Navigation event.
- In the Sounds drop down menu, select (None) from the top of the menu.
- Click OK.
Windows 2000
- Click Start, located on the taskbar. Select Settings and then Control Panel.
- Find the Sounds and Multimedia control panel, and double click it to open it.
- Select the Sounds tab at the top of the window.
- Scroll down to the Windows Explorer group, and locate, and highlight, the Start Navigation event.
- In the Sounds drop down menu, select (None) from the top of the menu.
- Click OK.
